24-Hour Itinerary to Make the Most Out of Your Boracay Trip

By August 13, 20194 Comments

Seat sales are so tempting because of how affordable tickets can be. In case you gave in and bought day trip tickets to Boracay in the Philippines on a whim, there are plenty of activities in there that you can do within that short amount of time.

Before we take a look at the many Boracay activities, make sure you indulge in a luxurious hotel that gives you the best bang for your buck. This way, you don’t blow your budget, and you have a safe place to keep your luggage and retreat to case you need to take a break or freshen up. This is also your first stop when you arrive in Boracay.

6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. – Check in your hotel and leave your luggage

With your accommodations all prepped up, it’s time to take a look at the things to do in Boracay island. Assuming that you booked an early morning flight and that there are no delays, you’ll arrive a little bit too early to check in your hotel. Let’s say you arrive in Caticlan at four o’clock in the morning. It’s about a two-hour ride by van to the port. You’ll then have a 15- to a 20-minute pump boat ride to Boracay.

When you arrive, take a tricycle ride to your hotel so you can leave your luggage. Yes, most hotels allow guests to securely leave their luggage in the hotel until check-in time, which is usually around two o’clock in the afternoon.

7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. – Breakfast and sunrise

Some hotels have their little restaurant that serves breakfast. If you eat there, you can save precious time looking for a place to eat. But if you don’t fancy eating in your hotel, you could explore the island for a good restaurant to fill your tummy. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and eating is one of the better things to do in Boracay.

You could try The Sunny Side Café, which is a famous all-day breakfast restaurant serving American and Filipino cuisine. Their known dishes include bacon and mango grilled cheese sandwich, the Sunny Side Café choriburger, espresso-caramel pancakes, and avocado-bacon smash.

The great thing about this restaurant is that it is just a stone’s throw away from the beach, offering you a great view of the sunrise.

9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. – Make a splash

Since the Philippines is a tropical country, it’s no secret that the scorching afternoon sun will punish your skin. So while the sun is still relatively cool, take the opportunity to swim in Boracay’s famous crystal clear waters and walk on its white sand beaches.

You can even try out different water sports allowed by the government, such as stand-up paddling/kayaking, kite surfing, and parasailing. Don’t be surprised if the prices of parasailing in Boracay in 2019 are a bit steep. There used to be a lot of water sports, but due to the recent government restrictions on the island, only a handful are allowed this time and parasailing is one of those.

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Lunchtime

You’ve surely built-up an appetite after all that playing in the water and sand. If you love to eat healthily, Nonie’s is a excellent choice for lunch. It offers Asian vegetarian cuisine with gluten-free options. For those who love to eat, Los Indios Bravos Boracay’s international cuisine and incredible craft beer make it one of the best options. You could also drop by Jonah’s fruit shake and snack bar to beat the noontime heat.

Lunch break is also a good time to check-in your hotel and maybe wash up. If you want to make the most out of your time on Boracay, Alta Vista de Boracay has its restaurant called L’Altura, offering innovative fusion food.

1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Explore the island

Take in the sea breeze and explore the many islands surrounding Boracay. Go island hopping! It’s one of the must-try Boracay activities in 2019, considering the local government has cleaned the surrounding waters.

Just be careful when choosing where to get your island hopping services. The government has pre-selected agencies handling Boracay activities and other packages. Nonetheless, exploring the many islands and its marine life is an awesome experience.

5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Time for dinner

After a day out on the sea, it’s time to settle down and eat dinner. Like the previous meal times, there are plenty of options for you to choose from. Try the local seafood at D’Talipapa. It’s a wet market where you can shop for your next meal, then it will be prepared for you at a reasonable price.

Would you like to try Greek food? Cyma is the place to be to eat steak and lamb. The waiters put on a fiery show by lighting up a frying pan when someone orders flaming cheese. You can also get dessert at Lemoni Café and Restaurant, which serves one of the most delicious cakes on the island. It’s also relatively affordable, too. Once you’re done eating, it’s time you headed back to the hotel to prepare to party the night away.

7:00 p.m. and beyond – Party the night away

Although Boracay nightlife after reopening has tamed (a little bit), it’s still famous for its wild parties. You can choose to dance the night away, go on a bar crawl or sit down at the bar and drink your worries away all while listening to the latest tunes played by famous DJs. The Boracay nightlife in 2019 is something you should never miss.

There are plenty of activities to do and places to explore in Boracay. Going on a 24-hour dash in Boracay sounds like a lot of fun, and it sure is. But in case you think that a day isn’t enough, you can always rest easy because you can always come back.
