This looks like a beautiful roadtrip – and great that you got to visit so many sights (particularly without the crushing amount of tourists!). I’d love to visit Pompeii and Sorentto, but I think I would skip Naples too!

How long did you stay? All these places are definitely on my “to visit” list, I can perfectly imagine myself having a pastry and an espresso on one of the many town squares, like you did! Italy with rain doesn’t sound so good, but you do avoid most of the crowds that way indeed!

Honestly, I would never go to the restaurant after reading your description here, no matter how good the food – this way of cheating on the prices I find unacceptable.
